On top of all of the direct expenses, we spend a lot of money on hockey games and football tailgates. These things are fun, but also expensive. Taking clients to a hockey game costs about $300. The football tailgates are about $1000. We use the events to entertain clients. They like it, trust me.
22 Hockey games (my share) and 7 football games. Whoa!
Does anyone have other "entertainment" type ideas that are less expensive?

Not necessarily big leagues, but our prospects like to go to sporting events, etc. Maybe it is keeping up with the Smiths, but those darn Smiths have these things for their clients.
