So Your Gonna Prospect Lawyers, Huh

Ok.  You've taken the first step and listened to Yoda.  Now, how do you do it?

First step is to find ‘em.  Away we go.

Select "type of lawyer" in the appropriate box.

Select City and State

Click Search

Best Lawyer Types:  Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Wills & Trusts

By searching this way, you will find a very solid basic list.  You will also find a list of firms that have practice groups in these areas.  I suggest that you also go to the law firms website and search for attorneys in the practice group as well.  This will increase your list and be more comprehensive targeting.

Good luck and be persistent.  The deals will probably not come right away.  This is a long term play.

Great suggestion!  I might want to start a new marketing campaign to real estate attorneys.

Are there any sites for Financial Planners that you know of?  If you do, please email me at:  Nima_Rezvan@countrywide.com

Thanks,

Nima

None that I know of, but it is not my target market.  You might look into associations that they may be members of and search from there.

We've got a listing currently in escrow that was a referral from a divorce attorney...

I haven't tried to target RE attorneys, per se, but I do attend most Trustee sales in my county, and have established a sort-of rapport with most of them. One asked for my card the other day, and the home was assigned to me a few days later. The asset manager said she got the file back from the foreclosure attorney and he had sent a copy of my card with a note saying I was the only REO agent who seemed to put forth any effort... Of course the lawyer didn't realize this bank was already a client of mine, but the good PR seemed to make them happier with me. It can't hurt, right?
